Legend of Mana
Legend of Mana is the fourth entry in Square Enix's action-RPG series of the same name, and is both the first spin-off title as well as the first game to not be developed for Nintendo hardware. A departure from the more narrative-driven entries that came before it, Legend of Mana is deeply non-linear game that encourages players to explore several dozen smaller stories and countless sidequests instead of a single unified plotline.
